McLaughlin Ranch Cutting Horses was established in Wilton, California in 1994. The Ranch is owned by Jeff & Kay Barnes, and was developed with a vision to breed and raise Cutting Horses of uncompromising standards.

The Barnes family designed and built the ranch in Wilton, California as a complete facility, not only housing the broodmares and foals, but also a complete training operation for the show horses.

The prospects are raised at the ranch, at which time they are prepared for sale as yearlings or kept at the California facility to begin training as two year olds. Currently, head trainer Travis Jensen trains and operates out of the Barnes family facility.
